My Leonard Curtis journey so far with Kelly McGrath, Business Development Manager
Kelly McGrath joined Leonard Curtis in May 2022, as Business Development Manager. We find out more about her professional expertise and her life outside of work.
Tell us about your role
I work with businesses to find the right finance solutions. This may involve assisting with the purchase of commercial premises, buying a piece of kit/machinery, providing cashflow/growth finance, or using invoices to raise cash. In short, I love getting to know businesses and finding the right solution for you. At Leonard Curtis, we pride ourselves on being problem solvers; people who really want to work with you to understand your needs and provide the right solution. I have worked in both a high street bank (in both the personal and business banking side) and a bridging lender, and so I have a broad range of knowledge and experience in the lending arena. I have always worked in a sales type of role as relationship management is where I excel.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Meeting new people, building great relationships, and providing solutions for businesses. I really enjoy seeing my clients reach their goals and how much this means to them and their families. Most clients I work with are small business owners, so getting things right for them is vital as their business is their livelihood.
Why do you like working at Leonard Curtis?
LC is a great business, with 300+ professionals who all want to help businesses. I have a great team, who are very experienced and always on hand to support. Leonard Curtis is a big firm with a small firm feel, you always feel appreciated. Decisions are made with all colleagues front of mind.
Tell us about you outside of work?
My family and my beloved Nottingham Forest. I have a 9-year-old son, Archie, who is football mad, so I spend my weekends watching him play at grassroots level, and we spend time as a family watching Nottingham Forest play at the famous City Ground. I have a passion for horses and country music, and I am also probably a bit of a chatter box (so I've been told!).
